Mitchell Park provides one of the most active pickleball scenes on the Peninsula, with 15 courts offering drop-in play seven days a week.

Mitchell Park is also home to the Palo Alto Pickleball Club, which is run by dozens of dedicated player-volunteers, including a nine-member Board of Directors.

The Club provides members with Getting Started sessions, round robin tournaments, and generally tries to foster a friendly, welcoming environment for players at all levels. The Club also promotes the sport locally by supporting other clubs in the area, and by providing equipment and clinics to local schools and businesses.

Club members arrange social events at the courts several times a year, and have created active Facebook and Discord groups for players to organize games and stay in touch.

Because the courts at Mitchell Park are often busy, the club has worked with the City of Palo Alto to create some basic court rules that are posted on signs at each court entrance. Please read and follow these simple rules.
